Baxter LOVES Baths!

Last Night it Rained & We still havent put time/money into our back yard. So it was a muddy mess.
We let baxter out this morning & he Loves to dig in his big playground of a backyard. So, Mud was everywhere & my floors.. lets say, they now sparkle!
I was able to snap some pictures while stephen was giving him a bath. Baxter was being so good & didnt make a mess! He was drinking the water &acting so cute! We dont have babies to post about, so we post things on Bax & gosh dangit we love him!

Stephen & I both work around the same hours everyday & work full time. Baxter is not good enough when no one is home, so we have to put him in his cage all day long. He has not been used to this & We feel so bad for him, but can't really do anything about it. He has so much energy when we come home. We've been taking him for long walks & he still wants to go crazy (I dont blame him). It might get a little bit better in about a week when stephen will go into work a couple hours after me & then come hom a couple hours later, so he will only be in his cage for about 5 hours, but we still feel bad for him. Hopefully in a couple of years he will be able to roam the house when we are gone & mind his manners! I've been wanting to take him to a doggy park & see if that helps get his energy out, but i'm scared of alot of other dogs, so we'll see what happens. We LOVE our Baxter!

Stephen's New Job

Today was Stephen's first day of training at his new job. He works at HealthWays (the same place his mom works) and so far he likes it. It will be nice to kind of be working the same hours & to be able to have around the same time off give or take a few hours here & there. We are so excited to plan some fun weekend trips! I was going to take a picture of his first day, but he didnt look to thrilled with  the idea, so i gave in & just decided to write about it.
I woke up with him @ 6:30 on my one day off to sleep in! & I thought I would be able to fall back asleep, but for some odd reason I couldnt & I ended up getting a lot done. Made yummy dinner for when he got home & had the perfect relaxing night.
I am so thankful that Stephen & I both have good jobs. I am thankful that he works so hard for us & for our future. He is still considering going to get his Masters & or Law School, but I think he is going to wait until Summer to Decide what he wants to do. Hopefully he will get a job by then more in his field that he wants. But for now.. HealthWays is good & steady.

Oh Kynlee..

We watch Kynlee about once a month over night. While we were babysitting, Stephen was playing video games & I was busy doing laundry, She gets into everything!! I caught her in the act a couple of times...

 I kept catching her put her feet in Bax's water & splash around.

 She loved to play with stephens cell phone when he wasn't paying attention...

So easy to LOVE!! We're gonna miss our little friend when she moves.

Stephen's Birthday!

Today is Stephen's Birthday! He spent the whole day relaxing, since he doesnt start his new job until monday. I came home from work & made his favorite food - alfredo, shrimp, french toast & ceasar salad. He opened his gifts & we had yummy cheesecake that i made, his mom usually makes it for him every year.

We finished the night by playing a trivial pursuit game that i had bought him! It was really fun!!

Valen"times" Day!

This post is titled Valen"times" day because Stephens mom told me that for a long time when he was a little boy, thats how he thought it was pronounced. Now thats what we call it : )

The day started out by being woken up to 2 dozen roses (1 pink & 1 red), starbucks, butterfingers, homemade card, & a husband ready for his break fast!(Thank you Stephen) We had a pretty relaxed day. We went to applebee's around 3pm for a late lunch & early dinner & came home to catch up on some episodes of House.
I was able to get some cleaning done today as well, so i'm one happy girl!

Grandpa Hansen

Grandpa Hansen hasn't been doing too well & is in a care faciliity is East Mesa. Stephen was nice enough to snap a picture of my dad, katy & I with Grandpa. He unfortunately couldn't sit up for the picture because his blood pressure was too low so he needed to keep his legs elevated. But the smiles make up for the awkward angle of the picture!

Busy Busy Busy

Today was a hectic "no resting" type of day for us. We've been needing to purchase a new car for a few months since my accident & finally did! 2010 Honda Civic, Charcoal grayish. We spent a good chunk of our day at the dealership, came home to feed Baxter & let him run around, Went into east mesa to visit Grandpa Hansen at a care facility, Went to Home Plate for the harper side Valentines dinner for break fast event & bingo (which i was very excited i won something), and then drove all the way home. I am so beat & ready to fall into bed, but realized that tomorrow is my last day before I have to go back to work, so I need to clean because tomorrow is also Valentines Day and we also have things planned. Whew! I need a relaxing Vacation! It was fun to get a new car & spend time with family today though.

Getting Started Again... Family Journal

I have started SO many blogs & somehow i've either forgotten the passwords & cant get logged back on, or I have been so frustrated with blogspot that I've given up. So here we go again for starting fresh & new!
I've decided to start this blog for a journal for our family. I used to be so good with writing in my journal weekly, but lately with life I've unfortunately let things slip.

Stephen & I met in 9th grade marching band, he played the alto saxaphone & I played the flute. We later met up in the end of 2008 & started dating. We dated for 6 months & were engaged for 6 months. He proposed to me on the top of the Sears Tower in Chicago, IL.

We were Married November 28th 2009. Perfect wedding & we were so excited to be married! I remember I was terrified that it was going to pain, but the weather was perfect & the pictures prove it. My mom made my wedding dress out of fabric from her dress & I was so happy with the outcome. Aunt suzie made the cake & it had coconut & marshmellow cream frosting - yum! We each decided to have 5 people in our line.

So many people helped make our day so special & We couldn't be more grateful!

We moved in to our house 2 weeks later & have slowly but surely have been making it Our Home. We Have a cute dog named Baxter. Stephen graduated in Dec 2010 from ASU with his Bachelors in Finance & an International Business Certificate. He may consider going to Law School or getting his Masters in the near future. I work as a Dental Assistant and have been for a little over 3 years. I too, have been considering furthering my education. We are loving life & soaking it all up. We enjoy our weekly (ok sometimes every 2 weeks) date nights. We both have incredible families who love & support us and are excited for the day (not for a while) until we have our little "kalwa babies" to love & snuggle!

I look forward to posting more in the near future & keeping this blog as our family journal to continue writing in & cherishing.
